Part-Time Positions

Associate Faculty

Part-time Faculty/Instructor teaching interest forms are continually accepted for classes being taught during day-time and evening hours, weekends and in seminar formats. You can obtain a teaching interest form on our website. Transfer disciplines require a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Career and special interest courses (not for transfer) require: Associate degree, certificate, or licensure at the level being taught and 3 years of related work experience may be substituted for a baccalaureate degree. Return completed form, resume, and a copy of your transcripts to: Learning Support Services (LSS), P.O. Box 929, Yuma, AZ 85366. Upon review of your interest form, the LSS office will contact you regarding your teaching interest for AWC. For additional information please call (928) 317-7661. Please complete both the application and a teaching interest form to be considered for Associate Faculty positions.

CAMPUS HEALTH NURSE/EDUCATOR - $25.05 to $31.81 p/hr DOE. Candidate will be a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) with current Arizona License and have five years of recent nursing experience in an independent clinical health setting with one year related experience in health education. Should be knowledgeable in health and developmental issues of college students to include healthy behaviors and informed decision making skills.

POLICE OFFICER - $18.18 p/hr. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, including graduation from an accredited Law Enforcement Academy, and a currently certified Arizona police officer. Must be available to work a rotating shift assignment, including day, afternoon, and midnight shifts. Preference will be given to candidates who possess an associate degree or a minimum of 60 college credits.

TEACHERS AIDE (Child Dev Learning Lab) - 7.38 p/hr. Assist the lead teacher in implementing the daily routine at the CDLL. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children age 3-5. Attend monthly staff meetings and complete 12 hours of early childhood training in ECE yearly. Requires: GED or high school diploma; ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card through the department of public safety. Preference will be given to applicants with training and/or experience in early childhood. The anticipated state date will be 8/3/2009.

FITNESS CENTER MAINTENANCE - $8.15 p/hr. Repair and maintain fitness equipment. This person is responsible for cardiovascular and weight equipment. Must be mechanically inclined as well as have some electronic background.

SENIOR SECRETARY - $9.03 p/hour. SENIOR SECRETARY, $9.03/hour PT in a multi-faceted educational environment. Must have strong telephone, typing, web design, computer, database, Microsoft office, web, organizational, budgeting, scheduling and writing and overall communication skills. Preferred experience in research, managing projects, troubleshooting and note-taking.
