AWC Writing Center

The AWC Writing Center, located in the SC Building, is staffed with trained Peer Tutors who are here to help you at any stage of the writing process. Our goal is to help you become a better, more confident writer.  We believe that supporting the student writer through the writing process, rather than the written product, is the key to successful writing.

At the Writing Center, we can help you:

  • Clarify assignment instructions
  • Develop and organize ideas
  • Read for comprehension
  • Apply formatting and citation
  • Revise and edit for clarity

Improving writing and critical thinking skills takes place over time. Often, multiple visits to The Writing Center are necessary for writers to succeed.  Appointments take priority over walk-ins, so please click here for tutoring.
