AWC Math Center

The Math Center offers assistance with all mathematics courses, as well as business, computer information systems, accounting, and science. Free tutoring is provided on a walk-in basis during all hours of operation.

The Math Center is located in the new Success Center Building (SC) which is on the North end of the AWC main campus behind the CTE Building and the LA Building and west of the Gym.

 

 Services Available

  • Tutoring in Math, Business, Computer Information Systems, & Science 

  • Access to computers (both desktop and laptops)

  • Quiet study area

  • Small study group room reservations

  • Textbook and media checkouts (within Student Success Center only)

  • Graphing calculator rental.

 Employment

We hire math, statistics, science, computer, engineering, and accounting tutors.

We usually hire most tutors  during the summer months so they work during the Fall and Spring semesters. We might hire a couple of tutors at the end of the Fall.

Tutors have a minimum requirement of MAT 151 or higher with a B or better in the courses they will tutor. If interested, please fill out an application with the Student Success Center. Copies are available at the Front Desk of the Math Center. If you are an AWC student please fill out a student application with Career Development as well.
