ITN Training

The Interactive Television Network (ITN) provides interactive video learning services for Arizona Western College's distance satellite campuses in La Paz and Yuma County. The distance campus sites in La Paz County are located in Parker and Quartzsite while in Yuma County they are located in Wellton and San Luis (Arizona).  ITN is fully interactive, meaning that it allows students on one campus to communicate with their instructor and classmates on another campus as if they were all in the same classroom.

The CTE has created an ITN orientation video for faculty scheduled to teach on the ITN system. The video's Table of Contents is found below. Click here to view the 27 minute orientation video which is housed on the AWC Streaming Video Server. Click here to download the video's PowerPoint slides in pdf format.

Table of Contents

  • ITN Personnel and Location of ITN Distance Sites
  • ITN Room Layout and Equipment
  • Helpful Tips for Teaching on the ITN System
  • Teaching Resources from the CTE
  • ITN Classroom and Site Logistics
  • Copyright Issues for Distance Educators

To setup an appointment to gain practical, hands on experience operating the ITN equipment please contact Zeke Torres, Director of ITN, at zeke.torres@azwestern.edu or via phone at 317-6414.
