Programs Offered

The Business and Computer Information section provides students with the intellectual foundations and expanding, quality business and technical education so they may assume productive careers in a dynamic and demanding world market.

Associate Transfer Degree

  • The Associate of Business (ABUS) transfer degree is designed for students who are planning to transfer to the university for additional education beyond an Associate’s degree. You will learn basic business principles including accounting, economics, and computer information systems.

Occupational Degrees (A.A.S.)

  • With a Computer Information Systems degree you can obtain an entry-level position as a computer programmer, systems analyst, or database administrator. You can also transfer to NAU in Yuma to receive a bachelor of applied science in computer technology. You will learn how to write computer programs, do systems analysis, and use databases in a business environment.
  • With a Marketing and Management degree you will be prepared to obtain an entry-level position in marketing and management. You will learn basic business skills related to human relations, marketing, advertising, and small business management.
  • The Microcomputer Business Applications degree is set up to help you develop office skills in order to obtain obtain an entry-level position within the business field.
  • The Office Administration degree will help you obtain an entry-level position as a file clerk, receptionist, clerk typist, cashier, teller, hospital admitting clerk, transcribing machine operator, and other related positions. You will learn marketable office skills that will help you in your current office job or your potential office position.
  • Paralegal Studies

Occupational Certificates

  • The Computer Information Systems certificate will you can obtain an entry-level position as a computer programmer, systems analyst, or database administrator. You can also transfer to NAU in Yuma to receive a bachelor of applied science in computer technology.   • Computer Security is a critical part of modern business strategy. The AWC Computer Security Certificate develops knowledge of Information Security and methodologies that contribute to participant success in the Information Security and Assurance workplace. You will learn about Information Technology risks, vulnerabilities, and protection requirements for new and emerging technologies.
  • The Microcomputer Business Applications certificate program will help you obtain an entry-level position requiring computer skills.
  • The Networking certificate will allow you to obtain a position related to computer networking, managing of facilities and network administrator responsibilities. You will learn a basic knowledge in computer networking.
  • The Office Administration certificate certificate will help you obtain an entry-level position as a file clerk, receptionist, clerk typist, cashier, teller, hospital admitting clerk, transcribing machine operator, and other related positions. You will learn marketable office skills that will help you in your current office job or your potential office position.
