LMT Program Application
MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCESS
You must register for Arizona Western College through the admission office before you begin the process of applying for the Massage Therapy Program.
This two semester program begins in either fall semester (August). In order to be eligible to sign up for LMT classes, you must be accepted into the program through the following process:
Contact the Massage Therapy Program office 317-6056 and ask for an information packet to be mailed to you. You can also download a packet from this webpage. This packet will have all the information you will need to become familiar with the Massage Therapy Program and the requirements for program participation.
Attend an information session. These meetings are offered twice a year and offer a chance to speak directly to the program coordinator, associate faculty, and other program personnel; view a power point presentation; all your questions asked and answered; and even turn in your application.
Fill out the application for the massage therapy program. The application is available in the application packet or you can download it from the AWC website at listed above.
Turn in your application at the Career & Technical Education Division Office located in the CTE Building on the AWC Main Campus or in town at 2451 S. Avenue A, Suite E101 (behind Kachina Medical Plaza). Applications Accepted Monday – Thursday, 9 AM to 3 PM. Application deadline is the last Thursday in March for the fall semester.
To meet admission requirements you must read at a college level (a CPT-R score of 65 - higher) and you must be eligible for Math 105 or higher (a score of 25 – higher). You can contact the campus testing center to set up these placement tests.
Once your application and testing scores are reviewed and verified by the Message Therapy Program office, you will be notified of your acceptance or denial into the program by postal mail. Please no phone calls to the program office. Your admission letter will include your invitation to a Orientation meeting.
Orientation is mandatory. Your health requirement package will be provided at that time. All health requirement deadlines MUST be met, with no exceptions. Students will receive a signed registration form allowing them to enroll for required major courses. Successful completion of health requirements, drug testing and back ground check are the final steps for program admission.
If you want to start taking classes before applying for the program, you can take the pre-requisites: BIO 160, LMT 105 or WED 110 to get started on your program requirements. The program check sheet can be downloaded from this website.
You can not take any LMT prefix classes without going through the application process
