POSITION:   Clerk II (Parker Learning Center)

 

SALARY:   $12.90 per hour plus excellent fringe benefits

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Required: High school education or equivalent; two years of experience in general office clerical work. Word processing and spreadsheet experience, computer, office machines, or any equivalent combination of experience, education or training. Preferred: Knowledge of Arizona Western College; bilingual (English/Spanish); experience in educational employment; experience in using social media.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:   Under the direction of the Associate Dean for La Paz County Services, provides program information to students, staff and public in person and on the telephone. Processes enrollment registration, book purchases, and financial aid application according to established guidelines.

Provides general support to faculty, students, academic services, and Associate Dean as needed.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean for La Paz County Services, provides assistance with public outreach for college promotion through advertisement platforms: television, radio, newspaper, social media, etc.

Serves as the lead person administering standardized educational and advising assessment instruments. Explains results to students according to instrument and/or institution guidelines. Distributes all assessment results to students and appropriate staff as needed. Proctors individual examinations for campus faculty as well as other educational institutions. Backup to this lead role will be determined by the Associate Dean for La Paz County Services.

Provides assistance for Center Assistants in both La Paz County locations: Parker and Quartzsite.

Performs other related duties as assigned
