Part-time Faculty/Instructor teaching interest forms are continually accepted for classes being taught during day-time and evening hours, weekends and in seminar formats. You can obtain a teaching interest form on our website.

Transfer disciplines require a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Developmental Ed. discipline require a Bachelor's degree to teach.  Career and special interest courses (not for transfer) require: Associate degree, certificate, or licensure at the level being taught and 3 years of related work experience may be substituted for a baccalaureate degree.

ENGINEERING LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (Grant Funded) [Part-Time] - $10.15 p/hr. REQUIRED: High School diploma and one year experience working with small scale electrical circuits and components; ability to perform equipment accountability, inventory control, and expendable supplies management, or an Associate's degree in an engineering, science, mathematics or related field with experience working in a laboratory or workshop environment, or any combination of education and experience acceptable to AWC. Experience with engineering design principles, micro controllers, microprocessors, electrical circuits, hand and power tools is desired. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on an occasional basis; must be able to stand and/or walk for 90 continuous minutes; must be able to distinguish color coded electrical components. PREFERRED: Electronics experience (i.e., soldering) and electronics assembly. Driver's license preferred.

LIBRARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (Copy Cataloger) [Part Time] - $9.03 p/hr. DUTIES: Performs customized copy cataloging for Academic library materials. Finds pre-existing cataloging records in the national cataloging database that match the newly purchased items and transfers records to our online catalog. Edits records according to our cataloging standards. Adds call numbers, subject headings, and any other information to make searching the online catalog easier for library patrons. Electronically transfers edited records into the library’s automated online catalog. QUALIFICATIONS: Computer competency and data entry required. Ability to analyze data and attention to detail. Ability to produce accurate work within the established framework. Light to medium work, with lifting/carrying of objects with weights of up to twenty pounds. High school diploma or equivalent required. Library experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. 15-18 hrs. per week.

FRONT-END WEB DESIGNER [Part-Time] - $9.57p/hr. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Suite software. Experience in creating graphics for the web and using HTML and CSS to produce a web page theme. Able to assist others in use of websites' content management system to update content. Preferred knowledge: Knowledge of theming for WordPress, Drupal or other CMS platforms. Experience with Unix/Linux environments. Experience with JavaScript would be a big plus.
