Part-time Faculty/Instructor teaching interest forms are continually accepted for classes being taught during day-time and evening hours, weekends and in seminar formats. You can obtain a teaching interest form on our website.

Transfer disciplines require a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Developmental Ed. discipline require a Bachelor's degree to teach.  Career and special interest courses (not for transfer) require: Associate degree, certificate, or licensure at the level being taught and 3 years of related work experience may be substituted for a baccalaureate degree.

ACADEMIC SKILLS COACH, Student Support Services (KEYS) Program - $11.00 p/hr. Qualifications: Associate's degree preferred. Must possess strong people skills to include experience working with students of diverse academic, social, and ethnic backgrounds. Experience with planning student activities and events desired. Mentoring experience is a plus. Have knowledge of AWC campus resources. Candidates must possess strong math skills, and must have completed MAT 151 (College Algebra) with a grade of A or B. Candidates must possess strong writing skills, and must have completed ENG 102 (Freshmen Composition) with a grade of A or B. Tutoring experience a plus. Excellent communication skills to include the ability to present on different topics to include study skills, time management, and test taking. Public speaking experience is a plus. Have the ability to facilitate and lead student groups in academic structured and unstructured environments, specifically study groups and supplemental academic sessions. Possess initiative and drive to conduct student outreach. Flexible schedule a must.

BUILDING SERVICES TECHNICIAN - QUARTZSITE [Part-Time] - $8.56 p/hr. REQUIRED: Ability to read and understand MSDS documents and label directions. Ability to select and wear appropriate personal protective equipment; ability to operate floor buffer, shampooer and vacuum cleaner. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. DUTIES: Provides custodial cleaning and related building services at the Quartzsite facility following established procedures. Functions independently in accomplishing the following daily tasks: clean floors & carpets, wash windows & mirrors, dust office & classroom space, empty & dispose of trash, change light tubes, and clean & sanitize restrooms. Participate in major cleaning projects to include custodial standards semiannual and annual tasks. Maintains neat and orderly grounds including parking lots and exterior cleanliness. Participates in special event setups including moving furniture and other equipment to requested locations and cleaning the facility after its use. LIBRARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (Copy Cataloger) [Part Time] - $9.03 p/hr. Performs customized copy cataloging for Academic library materials. Duties: Computer competency and data entry required. Analyzes, improves and expands pre-existing records in the library database. Determines and edits access points to conform to local cataloging policies. Classifies or reclassifies items as necessary. Electronically transfers edited records into the library’s automated catalog. Strong analytical ability and attention to detail. Ability to produce accurate work within the established framework. Light to medium work, with lifting/carrying of objects with weights of up to twenty pounds. High school diploma or equivalent required. Library experience preferred but not required. SENIOR SECRETARY - Learning Services/Instruction [PartTime] - $9.03 p/hr.. QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree or equivalent; two years of secretarial experience, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, good organizational and people skills preferred. Completes and routes purchase requisitions, textbook orders, and work orders as assigned. Maintains desk copies according to established procedures. Assigns proper budget codes; prepares and tracks and monitors expenditures according to established procedures. TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SERVICES TECHNICIAN-[PART-TIME] - $14.50 p/hr. REQUIRED:Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems and one year directly related work experience OR three years directly related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational and customer-service skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse customer base. Observational skills to identify issues and initiative to implement solutions. The ability to use basic techniques in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
