Steve Shadle represents Yuma County District V. Steve was first elected to the board in January 2005, and is currently serving a term that runs through December 31, 2012. Both avid readers and education advocates, the Steve and Bobbie Shadle Library and Learning Resources Complex was dedicated in their honor on May 9, 2011. Steve Shadle, one of the founders of the Yuma Community Foundation, was inducted into the Yuma County Educational Hall of Fame in 1994. Both Bobbie and Steve were named Philanthropists of the Year by the Yuma Community Foundation in 2009. Among many other philanthropic endeavors, they established an endowed Professor Chair for AWC faculty in 2007.  Steve also served several terms on the AWC Foundation Board of Directors. Steve currently serves as Secretary of the District Governing Board
