
Dennis Booth, a prominent Yuma businessman, and owner/operator of Booth Machinery, Inc., has been appointed to the Arizona Western College District Governing Board. He was sworn in by County Superintendent, Tom Tyree, on Friday, August 12, 2011. Dennis fills the vacated board seat held for 26 and a half years by Dr. Marjorie Barcomb. Dennis was elected Secretary of the Board for the remainder of 2012 during an election of officers at the March 2012 board meeting.
Booth serves on the El Toro Bowl Committee, is an active member in the Matador Athletic Association, and both he and his wife, Anne, have served on the AWC Foundation and were instrumental in reviving the Dr. v. Dr. event fundraising event. Dennis also served on the Arizona Western College Presidential Search Committee in 2009 and 2010 representing the Yuma business community.
Dennis has a long record of service to the Yuma Community.
