Camacho Appointed to AWC District Governing Board
Anna Camacho of Parker has been appointed to the Arizona Western College District Governing Board to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Pam Stroud. Camacho was sworn in by La Paz County School Superintendent Janice Shelton on February 1, 2012. Camacho will serve the remainder of Stroud's term, which expires on December 31, 2012. The AWC District Governing Board position will appear on the general election ballot in November as a regular six-year term.
Camacho attended Arizona Western College where she was named Arizona Western College Homecoming Queen. She currently works at the La Paz County Assessor’s Office as an Appraiser. Camacho represents the Parker Strip, Wenden, Salome, Quartzsite, Vicksburg and Alamo. “I appreciate the past service and contributions of Pam Stroud and look forward to welcoming Anna Camacho to our board,” said Dr. Glenn Mayle, President of Arizona Western College.
