The future of technology

Technology is from the Greek word “Techno” and is the “art, skill, or cunning of hand” or the ability to make, modify, use, or the knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, and/or systems. ~Liddell, Henry George and Robert Scott (1980). A Greek-English Lexicon (Abridged Edition). United Kingdom: Oxford University Press. ISBN 0-19-910207-4.

At Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University-Yuma you can earn a Bachelors of Applied Science: Industrial Technology Management Degree without leaving Yuma.

With this new program, you begin by earning your Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, concentrating on a Technical Trade area:

  • AAS: Automotive Technology
  • AAS: Welding Technology
  • AAS: Industrial Technology

Next, you go on to NAU-Yuma to earn a business degree in Industrial Technology Management. This degree will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to move into a management position. You will learn the fundamentals of running an efficient business for someone else or for yourself as an entrepreneur.

This program provides financial benefits; you will complete five full-time semesters at AWC’s lower tuition rate and be able to complete the BAS program in only three full-time semesters at NAU.

All classes offered through NAU-Yuma are either traditional in-class day, evening, or online making it easy to fit your schedule.

Your first step is to click below and fill out the interest form. Once you fill out the form on a computer, just click on the “Email” button and it will be forwarded to our office, or you can fill out the form by hand and deliver it to AWC Main Campus, LA 113.
