The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Grants serves the Arizona Western College community by providing the most accurate information possible for decision-making, overseeing research, and pursuing external funding in support of institution-wide initiatives.
Our Goal
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Grants goal for Institutional Effectiveness is to maintain a systematic and sustainable Institutional Effectiveness System that demonstrates the ability of the college to match performance to its stated mission.
Our Function
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Grants annually prepares an Institutional Research Plan to define data needs across the college district; provides technical assistance for department- and division-based grants, writes and coordinates district-wide grant efforts; supports district-wide efforts, including assessment of learning, re-accreditation, retention, and enrollment management and marketing; tracks longitudinal measures of institutional effectiveness; administers AWC's Institutional Review Board for oversight of research; and supports the President as members of his office and cabinet.
