Roles and Responsibilities for NCA Self-Study at Arizona Western College
Arizona Western College Vision 2011: A Vision in Progress - 2006-2007 College-wide objectives: AWC will develop a comprehensive plan to engage the College community and its constituents in an open self-study process in accordance with the accrediting guidelines of the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association. As the Chief Executive Officer of the College, his responsibility is to assure that adequate resources and personnel are allotted to this task.
The self study Co-chairs, Linda Elliott-Nelson and Bryan Doak, are responsible for directing the overall project, from the establishment of Self-Study design acceptable to The Higher Learning Commision to the creation of the completed document. Under the direction and with the support of the Interim Vice President for Learning Services Dr. Joann Linville the Co-Chairs' roll is to:
- Act as advisory group for Criterion Chairs
- Maintain general flow of self-study activities
- Share responsibility for criterion chair output
- Develop plan for overall structure/design of report
- Delegate introduction (history & previous visit response) chapter responsibility
- Maintain two-way communication on self-study activities to the greater college community committee
