Yuma, AZ (May 7, 2024) – In partnership with Arizona Western College and the state’s nine other public community college districts, Governor Katie Hobbs has created the Arizona Community College Workforce Scholarship to help Arizonans earn a credential, degree, or build advanced skills that lead to jobs in high-wage, high-growth occupations.
AWC awarded child care funding by Arizona Department of Economic Security

AWC to offer education scholarship in La Paz County

Parker, AZ (February 7, 2019) – La Paz County students interested in a career in Early or Secondary Education now have a new scholarship opportunity to apply for.
Arizona Western College is offering a scholarship for the EDU 110 – Intro to Education course, tuition, and books for up to 20 individuals who are interested in entering or exploring the education field. The course provides students with hands-on experience and observation time in classrooms in collaborating school districts.

Chicano Educational Conference to be hosted locally
May 18, 2017The Yuma Chapter of the Arizona Association of Chicanos for Higher Education (AACHE) announces its annual conference. The conference, titled The Influence of Minorities to American Culture, will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017 on the Yuma Campus at Arizona Western College and Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the César Chávez Cultural Center in San Luis, AZ.
